Catholic Homeschooling in Alaska

How to Homeschool in Alaska

There are four ways to comply with homeschool regulations in the state of Alaska:

1. Homeschool under the homeschool statute. There are no notification requirements, mandated tests, or any teacher qualifications.

2. Homeschool with a private tutor who is an Alaska-certified teacher.

3. Homeschool with school board approval with a written request to the school your child attends.

4. Homeschool as a religious private school with the required notification and recordkeeping and compliance with testing requirements.
