How to Homeschool in Montana

Fortunately for homeschooling parents, it’s relatively easy to homeschool in Montana, with minimal regulation by the state. There is just one way to comply with homeschool laws in Montana:

1. File a notice of intent annually.

2. Keep attendance and immunization records.

3. Teach and facilitate learning for the minimum hours per school year.

4. Cover the required subjects of English, math, social studies, science, health, arts, and career education.

5. Ensure your home complies with local safety and health regulations.
