Catholic Homeschooling in North Dakota
How to Homeschool in North Dakota
In North Dakota, there are two options for homeschooling legally:
Option 1: Homeschool under the home education law
This includes assuring you have the required teacher qualifications, filing an annual statement of intent, teaching for the required number of hours, teaching the required subjects, keeping school records, testing in grades 4, 6, 8 and 10, and complying with extra requirements for children with developmental disabilities.Â
Option 2: Homeschool as a private school
If you are a North Dakota certified teacher, you may homeschool under the private school option. You will file an annual statement of intent and should teach the required number of days and required subjects.Â
