Which Homeschool Style is Best

The answer to that question is … they all are! Well, it depends. Every family is different, every mom, every child–all unique! You may want to ask, “What is the best homeschool curriculum and style?” But a better question might be, “What is the best homeschool method for me and my children?” The right method for you depends on the temperaments and learning styles in your family, your educational goals, and the time you are able to commit to hands-on teaching versus more self-directed learning.

Some things to consider:

Are you wanting your homeschooling to install specific values to your children?

Are you already familiar with and love a particular educational method?

Will you be homeschooling lots of littles spanning many grade levels, or are your children closer in age and able to share learning time together?

Is homeschooling for you a long-term lifestyle change or do you anticipate putting your children back in a school setting at some point?

Is there anything that might make a particular method challenging, such as family financial, medical, or personal circumstances?

Do any of your children have any special needs?

Do you prefer a structured plan that you would follow or are you interested in a creative mixing of styles and resources?
