St. Kateri Tekakwitha Book List

Kateri WP Featured Image 1200 x 628Saint Kateri Tekakwitha was a holy young Native American woman. She converted to the Catholic faith after meeting French Catholic missionaries led by Saint Isaac Joques in the 1600s. She lost her family to a smallpox epidemic and was ostracized from her tribe after her conversion and baptism. She is called the “Lily of the Mohawks” and was canonized by Saint Pope John Paul II in 2012. St. Kateri’s feast day is celebrated on July 14th in the United States and on April 17 in Canada.
